Chief Technology Officer

Andy founded SignalQ with a clear and ambitious goal: to save lives, both at home and abroad.  With a passion for innovation and a commitment to public safety, Andy has been instrumental in shaping the vision and direction of SignalQ. As the driving force behind the company's development, Andy is responsible for defining the SignalQ system, refining the concepts of use, and overseeing the technical architecture ensuring that SignalQ remains at the forefront of gunshot detection technology.

Chief Executive Officer

Paul brings extensive executive leadership experience to SignalQ. Over the past decade, he served as CEO of NetCraftsmen, LLC, where he significantly grew the business, ultimately leading to its successful acquisition by a private equity-backed firm. Paul's strategic vision and ability to drive growth have been pivotal in his career, and we are excited to have his expertise guiding SignalQ to new heights.

Dr. Gary Kuhn

Principal Investigator

Dr. Kuhn is a distinguished Principal Investigator with over 40 years of experience in signal processing and classification methods. From work at IDA, Siemens, SAIC, NSA and LufCo, he has publications and patents in defense communications, speech recognition, motor failure prediction, biomedicine (digital mammography, cardioverter-defibrillators, electrocardiogram classification) and gunshot detection. A member of the New York Academy of Sciences, he works with the team at SignalQ, zooming out for overall understanding, and zooming in to implement the details correctly.

Software Engineer

With over a decade of experience in designing, developing, and testing both hardware and software, Brian brings a wealth of expertise to our team. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, equipping him with a solid foundation in both fields. Brian’s extensive background and technical skills make him an invaluable asset in advancing SignalQ’s event detection technologies.

Nick brings over 13 years of experience in digital signal processing and software development, specializing in the realms of RF and acoustics. With a Master’s degree in Music & Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Nick blends a unique combination of technical expertise and creative insight. His profound knowledge and innovative approach drive the development of cutting-edge solutions in event detection, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and performance. As the Technical Lead, Nick is committed to pushing the boundaries of technology to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
